One of the issues for many netbooks is the max resolution allowed is 1024x600. Unfortunately, that prevents you from seeing and accessing part of the screen in many applications.
The solution is as follow:
1) Run regedit
2) Search and modify all values "Display1_DownScalingSupported" from "0" to "1"
3) Restart the system
4) Enjoy with the two new resolutions 1024x768 i 1152x864
Solution is from the following url. I tried the solution above and was able to achieve 1024x768. I did not see the 1152x864.
